The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
